Had to modify product to fit window I was not satisfied with this product. It was supposed to be 30″ wide but was actually 3/8″ longer than what it was suppose to be. I had to modify the product to make it fit the window frame. I was not impressed with its construction. It does not produce a whole heck of alot of heat. The majority of construction is just sheet metal with a thermostat, on/off and auto switch. It has a 120v tranformer that plugs into the side of the unit to power the dc blower motor. For the quality of construction and the amount of heat this unit gives off, is overpriced. In my opinion the unit is to small to heat much of anything. Amazon said this product was in stock and in fact is not made until you place an order. Expect a minimum of 2+ weeks for delivery. Rather than put one of these units in your window, you would probably get more heat by just letting the sunshine in through the window.

Not what it’s cracked up to be! I purchased this product thinking I was going “solar”. In the description of the item it never mentioned that you have to plug this item in for the fan to run. Even when I had it in my window, with the fan plugged in and running, it only blew out cold air. I was very disappointed with this product, and would only suggest not to waste your money on it.
